Terms and Conditions
If you confirm a booking with us, we will assume you have read and accepted our terms and conditions as set out below.
Deposits & Payment
A credit or debit card number are required to secure any booking.
Bookings are REFUNDABLE up to 2 days before your arrival date if you have booked our standard rate after that time the full price of your stay is liable.
If you have booked our 10% discounted NON REFUNDABLE rate then payment is taken at the time of booking and there is no opportunity to either cancel or modify your booking.
Payment is taken on the day of your arrival unless you wish to make alternative arrangements beforehand, however we will pre-authorise your card 2 days before arrival. We will take the amount from the credit/debit card number you used when booking. If you prefer to pay in cash please advise at the time of booking. We accept most major credit cards with the exception of American Express or Diners. You may incur an additional administration fee to cover bank charges when using a credit card.
If the fold down bedchair is requested for either the Ascot or Woodside Rooms there is an additional charge of £15.00 per night and this must be requested at least 24 hours before arrival.
When you make a reservation it is a legal contract between Bluebell House and yourself. Please note that our cancellation policy is part of this contract.
Cancellation by guests
If you need to cancel your booking for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible.
Up to 2 days notice – No charge, any deposits taken will be refunded in full - this is for all standard rate bookings.
NON REFUNDABLE bookings are non refundable.
Less than 2 days notice -The full cost of your booking will be taken from your debit/credit card.
No contact or no show by 8pm (20.00) on arrival day – we reserve the right to re sell your room.
We would recommend that you take out travel insurance to cover you in the event of cancellation.
Cancellation by us
Should it be necessary for us to cancel a booking, we will contact you immediately to explain the situation and your deposit will be refunded in full.
We expect guests to treat the premises and contents with care and respect. In the event of damage to Guest House property, we reserve the right to charge to replace, repair or professionally clean the item concerned.
If you have booked directly with us via our website, email or telephone guests can check in anytime from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival.
If you have booked via an online travel agent your check in time is 4:30 pm.
Rooms must be vacated by 10.30 on your day of departure.
Non Smoking Policy
In the interest of the comfort and safety of our guests, we operate a strict ‘Non-Smoking policy throughout the Guest House. In the event of non-complliance, a charge of £50.00 will be levied for professional cleaning of the room.
Bluebell House is happy to welcome children over the age of 3. There is the option of an additional bedchair in the Ascot or Woodside Rooms at £15.00 pn. NO CHILDREN are accepted in the Windsor Room.
As much as we love our animal friends, pets are not allowed at Bluebell House Sorry !
